Welcome to the Religious Education program for Grades 1-4. We are blessed with a passionate and dedicated parish family. Together with our catechists, our hope is to deepen our children's faith and sense of belonging, encouraging in them a true Love of God and Neighbor, now and throughout their lives. We place our efforts with confidence in God’s loving hands.
The objective of our first grade curriculum is to help the children develop as awareness of God the Creator, who gives us life and grace and promises us eternal life through Jesus. The children will learn that God is our Father who loves us. Jesus is the Son of God who tells us about our Father. The Holy Spirit helps us to be holy.
The objective of our second grade curriculum is to present Jesus as the model for Christian living and to introduce the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Communion. The children will learn that Jesus nourishes us, and strengthens God’s life and grace within us.
The objective of our third grade curriculum is to deepen our children’s understanding of the Church and to help them experience the Church as a Christian community. Children will learn how Jesus continues his life and work through his Church.
The objective of our fourth grade curriculum is to help children form their conscience according to the teachings of the Catholic Church, and to learn the basis of Christian morality as taught in the Old and New Testaments.
The children will learn that, as God’s people, we are called to live as Jesus did, choosing a life of love, characterized by obedience to God and service to others.
