Women's Association

For over 50 years, the women of St. John and St. Mary’s parish community have come together bound by their love of God and their church, to provide support for their parish, encouragement for one another and assistance for their community. We strive to accomplish these goals through spiritual renewal, fund raising, social activities and outreach programs. As a result the Women's Association has earned the reputation of responding to the community's needs. In the future, we hope to continue and expand on this long held tradition of care and support.  We welcome you to join us in prayer, service and fellowship.

Greetings to the Women's Association of the
Church of St. John and St. Mary

My name is Giselle St. Vincent, and it is my honor to serve as the president of the Women's Association for 20162017. I have been a resident of Chappaqua and a member of our parish for 16 years. It has been my pleasure to have taught religious education for 14 of those years as well as served as a board member in the Women's Association for 10 years.

The friendships, the sense of community and the challenges the women of our
Association have met and conquered throughout the years, are truly amazing. With all honesty, I wish I was more involved with the Women’s Association much sooner than I had been. To witness many women coming together and uniting our individual God given gifts is so powerful! We have worked hard, but that is part of how we play. My hope for all of you, who have yet to join our Association, is that you come to our many fun-filled events. Whether it’s because you are new to the community or just haven’t joined the Association in a while, now is the time. Volunteer when you can and enjoy getting to know the many warmhearted and uniquely talented women of our parish.

You can get started by coming to Signup Sunday, September 11, after the 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon Masses. I hope you can join us at our Opening Dinner this year, on September 28, at Whippoorwill Country Club. We have a Painting Party in October for one of our Girls’ Night Out as well as a Family Painting Party in February. On November 9, we will have our 11:30am Mass with a Bring A Dish Luncheon to follow, and our spectacular Annual Christmas Fair will be held on December 3. During Lent, we're having a Fish Fry, March 31. Our Devotional trip in the Spring will be a tour of St. Patrick's Cathedral and please save the dates for our Second Annual Spring Festival, May 19, 20, & 21.

I look forward to seeing you throughout the year. Remember, Signup
Sunday is September 11, where you can learn more about our Association and perhaps even join a committee on the board. It would be great to see you at our Opening Dinner on September 28, at Whippoorwill Country Club… so come and join us.

With Love and Peace,

Giselle St. Vincent
